Government Paparazzis

California seems to have found yet one more way to help solve its budget woes.  Now in addition to the red light cameras, they have begun filming stop signs and issuing tickets to drivers who make “rolling stops.”  At $175.00 per ticket, the government has raked in close to $6 million from LA area drivers in just 18 months.

After reading the article I couldn’t suppress the feeling that I am going about my business all wrong. Instead of finding people who will pay me to make them look good, I should simply photograph people making dumb mistakes or doing things that they know they shouldn’t and charge them for the pictures…

Or would that be considered blackmail or entrapment when a non government photographer did the same?
