Many Thanks to the Copyright Alliance

As part of their effort to educate the public about the need to understand and protect copyright, the Copyright Alliance made a trip to Denver to participate at a writer’s convention, and also the Advertising Photographers of America event where they conducted an educational presentation for visual artists.

Lucinda Dugger of the Copyright Alliance spent the next couple of days conducting video interviews of artists from all walks in the area as part of a larger project.  Here is an excerpt from their blog post on the Colorado interviews:

“Photographer Mark Stout and communications guru Susan McConnell each talked to me about the importance of meeting client expectations. Not unlike the surrounding mountains, their professional aspirations reach far beyond creating high-quality work for clients. In order to ensure the longevity and success of the artist’s career, the artist must intentionally develop a long-term, trusting relationship with the client. This relationship should respect both the wishes of the client and the artist, and all agreements should be documented in mutually understood contracts.”
